1. Smile and Make Eye Contact

Human beings are receptive to a warm smile and eye contact. Unfortunately, when nerves take over this becomes difficult. The true sign of a nervous person? They’re not engaging with you.

In the dating world, the butterflies we experience are linked to smiling and eye contact. If you’re feeling shy, try practicing it in front of the mirror first. If you’re not looking for validation from others, you accept you’re doing the right thing for you. Your confidence will soar once you know you can rely on yourself. If the date isn’t what you had hoped for, you can tell yourself that it will be OK.
