nepal travelNepal is home to Mount Everest, the tallest mountain in the world that peaks at 8848 meters from sea level. Trekking is a common tourist activity here since it has eight out of the ten highest peaks in the world. Over 200,000 people engage in trekking expeditions in Nepal each year.

There are different trekking regions in the country. There are marked paths that allow tourists of all ages to trek, so you will not get lost during your hike. Also, Nepal has a beautiful tiny village with fascinating traditions. Moreover, the locals are very friendly.

Trekking is a good way to interact with nature. Regular hikes will help you be physically fit. Nepal is a beautiful place to go trekking. Here are some reasons why you should go trekking in Nepal:

1) It Is A Great Place for Exploration

Are you a hiker with an extreme love for hiking and adventure? If yes, you should add Nepal to your bucket list. There are varieties of trekking paths with extremely beautiful sceneries. You can choose a trekking trail depending on the difficulty you can handle. There are challenging hike trails available if you feel energetic and adventurous enough.

Some of the areas you can go trekking include the Annapurna Region, a popular trail among hikers, or the Langtang region in Kathmandu. Also, you can go trekking to the Everest Base camp. Here, you will create exciting hiking memories on the highest mountain in the world. Trekking in Nepal with a guided exploration tour agency like Kandoo Adventures is recommended. A fully packaged tour to Everest Base camp is a trek that takes 15 days.

2) You Will Get To Enjoy the Local Cuisine in Nepal

Here, you will get to enjoy their sumptuous traditional dishes. The cuisine in Nepal is like no other. They have their own culinary identity, which is rich in spices. The foods are a blend of Chinese, Indian, and Tibetan meals. The commonly used ingredients in dishes include lentils, potatoes, ginger, coriander, tomatoes, garlic, mustard oil, and pepper. You also get to enjoy traditionally prepared yogurt (curd) that has a firm and creamy taste. Most of the food is non-beef, so vegetarians would also have dishes they would enjoy.

3) Nepal Trekking Excursions Are Affordable

In general, trekking is a cheap activity. You only have to eat, sleep, and walk. Nepal is one of the cheapest tourist destinations in the world. You will not spend too much on tour fees, accommodation, and food. However, this depends on what other activities you are planning to engage in; there are luxury and affordable rates.

If you visit Kathmandu, a city in Nepal, you may spend at least $250 on accommodation and food for five days. However, this depends on how wisely you spend. Before traveling, it is ideal to research the expenses in the places you will be visiting and budget appropriately. Besides, you should choose a touring company that will cater for all expenses as a package.
