organic lifestyleYou’re probably well aware of the idea that living more organically is better for your overall health and lifestyle. Well, the word organic is a great marketing term. It’s really about living more naturally. Our ancestors lived organically because it was the only way in their time. Today, our world is filled with artificial products and foods. There is some benefit of convenience, but for long-lasting well-being, you really need to get on the organic train. Here’s how.

Make five organic meals per week

If you eat three meals per day, it shouldn’t be difficult to make five organic meals per week. What you’ll notice is the food tastes fresher and has a better flavor so it doesn’t require a saturation in seasonings. If one of your organic meals are vegetarian, even better–it will cut down on your overall calorie intake and grocery bill. All you have to do is shop for simple ingredients in your supermarket. A touch of Himalayan pink salt and a dash of black pepper will be the only seasonings you need.

Use organic personal care products

The personal care market is rapidly responding to consumer demand for more natural and organic products. To illustrate, you can find some really good organic hair products that make you look like you just stepped out of a salon without preservatives and chemicals. You can also try natural deodorants and face cleansers. There really is a large selection of organic grooming products for you to try.

Get rid of chemical cleaners

Toxic chemicals are bad for the environment, bad for your pets and bad for you. Is all that toxicity worth a clean counter that will probably get dirty in the same day? Instead of chemical cleaners, all you need is baking soda and vinegar. Really, baking soda makes an excellent scrubbing agent and laundry detergent. And, vinegar will get anything clean–including windows and mirrors. Plus, you, your pets and your family will feel much safer and more natural in your home.

Wear organic clothing

Shop for clothing made with natural fabrics and natural dyes. You will love the feel of organic cotton or any other organic material against your skin. You’ll notice your skin doesn’t itch, and often, the clothes last a lot longer. Plus, you’ll feel better about your contribution to the environment knowing the production of your clothing did little harm.

Walk or bike

Car emissions are one of the leading contributors to global warming. So, pause the carbon and use your bike or go for a walk. If possible, biking to work is a great way to get some exercise before you need to put your nose to the grind. You’ll find that you might not even need a gym membership after a while. If you need to get a few items from the grocery store, try walking.

Getting fresh air and incorporating nature in your daily routine will make you feel more alive. It’s much more enjoyable than staying indoors all day long. You’ll find yourself more invigorated and enthusiastic about life in general.

You probably didn’t think living organically would be so easy. Now, you have no excuse to live any other way.
