Big Country Logo

I eat sleep and breathe travel so you know that this is gonna be good! Especially since I document all of my travels via social media and even film portions of my show with my smartphone, this show and campaign are right up my alley!

Did you know that millions of Americans have never left their home state? It might seem extreme, but it’s true. Not everyone has had the opportunity to explore this great, big country of ours. U.S. Cellular is launching “Big Country”, a series that will seek out every day Americans who for one reason or another have never gone far from home and take them on a trip of a lifetime! Throughout the five-part series, host Andrew Zimmern of Food Network and Travel Channel fame will guide these real U.S. Cellular customers who haven’t gone far from home to see the places and people they’ve only dreamed of seeing. U.S. Cellular will be a catalyst in helping to make its customers’ travel dreams a reality, allowing them to explore the Middle of Anywhere – great cities across the nation – and enabling them to stay connected to their family and friends back home through its nationwide coverage and technology.

U.S. Cellular is also holding an online open casting call for the 5th episode, where you and your readers can nominate another deserving U.S. Cellular customer to star in the season finale of Big Country!

When traveling, how do you use your smartphone to stay connected with loved ones?

As we follow Andrew and his travel companions across America, we will see how U.S. Cellular keeps them connected to their friends and family no matter where they travel, through the brand’s national coverage that works from coast to coast to the middle of anywhere. And we will ignite in viewers a passion for exploring new places as we discover travel destinations through the eyes of those who had never experienced these kinds of adventures before.

Check out the first episode of Big Country here and see why YOU want to be a part of this awesome experience!

WHY U.S. CELLULAR?

U.S. Cellular started some 30 years ago with a unique mission: provide wireless access to parts of the country often overlooked by other carriers. Today, U.S. Cellular is the national wireless provider that specializes in these “smaller” cities and rural communities. U.S. Cellular is the brand whose coverage works from coast to coast, to the middle of anywhere – where people live, work, and play– empowering and enabling people to get more out of life.

U.S. Cellular is committed to keeping their customers connected no matter where they go, but a lot of people think of U.S. Cellular as a carrier that only works in some places. We want to surprise people with U.S. Cellular’s national coverage and all the places that we can take them.

U.S. Cellular is looking to cast one more special customer to take on a trip of a lifetime for the season finale of Big Country! Please visit http://travelchannel.com/bigcountry  to apply for the opportunity to find yourself in the middle of anywhere with national coverage from U.S. Cellular and TV host Andrew Zimmern on the show Big Country.
