Make Recycling Fun in the New Year and Win $5000!

It’s a new year and you have resolved to be a bit greener. Sometimes going green seems like a daunting task. But it doesn’t have to be!

One thing that works great with adults as well as kids is to make recycling a game! Making any task more fun is a great way to stay the course. Check out some of my fun ideas on how recycling can be made into a fun game:

• Get points for every item a family member contributes to the bin. At the end of each week, the winner gets a fun prize!
• Money is a motivator! Help kids learn the importance of recycling by gathering recyclables and taking them to drop off centers to redeem for cash.
• Eco craftiness is fun! Start to see how common household items and recyclable goods can be reused. Be it a family arts and crafts project or remodeling furniture, it’s a great way to use goods in a creative way.
