*This sponsored post is a part of the campaign “Protecting America’s Eyes” by Reticare in order to inform U.S. citizens about the importance of eye protection from device screens. The opinions expressed in this post are entirely my own.
Right now, you are reading this on a screen. Be it a desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone, we are staring at screens all day long reading, writing, watching and ultimately, straining our eyes.
Life these days is lived online and that means our eyes are spending hours on end glued to screens, pushing our vision more than ever before. In fact, the Vision Council’s 2016 Digital Eye Strain Report found that nearly 60% of Americans use digital devices for five hours or more each day, and 70% of Americans use two or more devices at a time. Wow!
Because of this, 65% of Americans report experiencing symptoms of digital eye-strain, which include: neck/shoulder/back pain, eye strain, headache, blurred vision, and dry eyes. Retina damage, which is the most important risk, can onset Glaucoma, Cataracts and Macular Degeneration which can lead to blindness. Once the retina cells die from being overexposed to high energy light, they don’t recover. So we must protect our eyes to keep our eyes healthy. What a wake up call!
Additionally, Exposure to high-energy light can lead to sleep disorders, computer vision syndrome, and a decrease in macular thickness, which can regress to macular degeneration. So what vision problems used to be expected of an elderly person is now becoming a common problem at very young ages. So much so that children have a much higher risk of damaging their eyes from overexposure to high-energy light due to the fact that natural eye lens protection does not complete its development until age 25.
That’s why I’m so excited to be working with Reticare! Reticare’s eye protector screens naturally absorb high-energy light and provides different levels of protection based on the users age and amount of time spend in front of the screen and protects us from sleep disorders, Computer Vision Syndrome (symptoms such as red eyes, blurry eyes, irritated eyes and headaches) and most of all, retina damage.
With over 14 years of research and backed by scientific data, Reticare’s eye protector screens can help our eye health by protecting the eyes from the harmful effects of high-energy light emitted through electronic devices we use every day.
I have Reticare protector screens on my desktop, laptop, tablet and smartphone and ever since I installed the protectors, I feel an incredible difference. My eyes don’t feel strained at the end of the day, screen brightness in low light is way less shocking to my system and I don’t strain my neck. Reticare eye protectors really are the difference between eye damage and eye health!
We need our eyes and tend to forget that we need to take care of them and should before it’s too late. Prevention is the key and Reticare can help!

I agree! What is Reticare made of? I called the company and they said “silicone”. It doesn’t say anywhere on the site what it’s made of. Just loads of quotes about the experiments that show it helps against eye disease….. no this is not an unbiased review. @ Josu Sebastián:
The article that is supposed to be a real review based on personal experience actually sounds like a sheer advertisement by the maker of this product. I can’t believe what it says.
